The Sensible Majority is a digital forum to discuss ideas about social policy and politics.
It will include and accept brief essays from all perspectives and allow participants to
decide whether an idea is Sensible or Not Sensible. We specifically ban tribal labels.*
Any comments or article submissions that include these labels will either be removed
or rejected for publication.

Raised in Washington D.C. I spent my youth at countless dinner parties where the civil discussion of politics sponsored great conversations and wonderful friendships. An eclectic career. It feels that the conversations we have today are so polarizing is it any surprise we are not finding good solutions. I was born and raised in Northern Virginia. Growing up during the boom of technology meant everything political was at my finger tips. I used this to pass youth-forward policy throughout school districts in Northern Virginia, often working accross the aisle. Since then, I’ve found my passion in botany and land conservation. Much like nature, our ecosystem cannot survive without collaboration and symbiotic relationships. Passing of information has been human tradition since the beginning of time. Sensible Majority is where this information will live for all who come.
